Autumn Workshop at Miss Havishams Book Shop Thursday 9th October 2025
Come together with Katrina from Art and Rhyme for this fun workshop combining her love of poetry and design !
Day : Thursday 9th October
Time: 6pm – 8pm
Place: Miss Havishams Book Shop Bedale Dl81AH
Cost : £35 per person
Together we will combine words and imagery to create a unique collective collage !
Using the theme of Autumn and all its wonderful colours – in this workshop:
-We will create a poem and use words inspired by Autumn – you are welcome to bring your own words or favourite poem to use
-We will make a collective collage combining the words with colourful papers and cut out shapes , materials and craft items like wooden shapes and buttons
-You can also make your own card,bookmark and gift tags
This course is suitable for all and Katrina will use her extensive experience to guide you through this creative experience from thinking about how to create poetic words to the many inspiring colours , patterns and shapes of one of the best seasons of the year! Think swirling drifts of leaves in colours of oranges , reds and browns and bright skies of a late Indian summer ! I would love to share with you the magical process of creating a collage based on a mixture of items on the table that come together somehow to make something incredibly beautiful and totally unique
You will also go away with your own hand made card , bookmark and gift tags
All materials will be provided from my extensive craft cupboard but you are also welcome to bring items you think we could add
After the workshop you will have the chance to order a quality print of the collage we make which can be provided as an A4 print or an A5 card which will have the poem we created printed on the back. There will also be extra packs of papers to buy and Make Your own Card Kits also to purchase to carry on the fun at home
Miss Havishams book shop is a beautiful venue just off the high street in Bedale – a welcoming and comfortable space
I am passionate about workshops being accessible for everyone so if the cost is a barrier to you – please do message me and I am able to offer some concessionary lower cost places
I will be able to refund you if you need to cancel but only if you can give 7 days notice
