This collage artwork print card is a print of an original A3 collage artwork I created and the main image is surrounded by a beautiful matching border on this card.
Each of my artworks are lovingly created from a patchwork of coloured and patterned papers carefully created and printed in my home studio in Richmond North Yorkshire
Additionally I use a wide range of craft punches to add shapes to the image as well as a cornucopia of materials I have gathered together over time
My designs are inspired by the words of my original poems which are often based on themes of nature, the seasons and the beautiful colours and sight associated with them The words of my poems are cleverly woven into the design making a completely unique item and with this card the poem is also printed on the back
This collage is a fun depiction of another favourite member of the wildlife here in the UK – the humble hedgehog! Surrounded by a patchwork of Autumn leaves and earthy tones – the poem I wrote ponders why they are called hedgehogs and what happens as the hibernate all Winter

Sweet snuffling hedgehog
Who gave you your name?
What have you to do
With hedges or hogs?
Hedges maybe you need
To tunnel between gardens
But hogs? No!
A sweet prickly coat of protection
And a winter full of slumber
Maybe a better name is
A hedge dreamer
With your nature designed shield
To protect your heart
As you quietly make your life
In our world
