This Christmas collage artwork print card is a print of an original A5 collage artwork I created especially for the festive season
Each of my artworks are lovingly created from a patchwork of coloured and patterned papers carefully created and printed in my home studio in Richmond North Yorkshire
Additionally I use a wide range of craft punches to add shapes to the image as well as a cornucopia of materials I have gathered together over time
My Christmas designs are inspired by the words of my original poems which have been written especially to reflect the sounds and sights as well as the feelings associated with this special time of year – with a nod to the season of Winter in which Christmas is a central feature .
The words of my poems are cleverly woven into the design making a completely unique item and with this card the poem is also printed on the back
This collage makes good use of the traditional image of Santa Claus and the bright red and white colours so often associated with Christmas time!.I also was able to use some beautiful red and white snowflake papers and add in some decorative snowflake washi tape to bring the design together
The poem printed on the back was one of the first Christmas poems I wrote and is an expression of hope that the true meaning of Christmas is found – in the gathering of loved ones rather than the commercial focus too often promoted

It’s Christmas time
Quietly the bells ring out in our hearts
Calling us to find our way
Time to draw breath
And draw to our hearts
All that truly matters
To find the true light
Of those who truly love us
Knowing that all that matters
Cannot be bought
Let that true light
Shine as bright as the Christmas lights
