This Christmas collage artwork print card is a print of an original A5 collage artwork I created especially for the festive season
Each of my artworks are lovingly created from a patchwork of coloured and patterned papers carefully created and printed in my home studio in Richmond North Yorkshire
Additionally I use a wide range of craft punches to add shapes to the image as well as a cornucopia of materials I have gathered together over time
My Christmas designs are inspired by the words of my original poems which have been written especially to reflect the sounds and sights as well as the feelings associated with this special time of year – with a nod to the season of Winter in which Christmas is a central feature .
The words of my poems are cleverly woven into the design making a completely unique item and with this card the poem is also printed on the back
The Christmas tree is such an iconic image of the season – it had to take centre stage on this card ! I used such a mixture of Christmas wrapping paper and patterned card to create this collage – my desk was full of scraps in the making process ! I was also lucky to find a book of Christmas patterns in a local charity shop to make up the central image and the decorative border of Christmas presents .

The Christmas tree stands
In wisdom and love
Bound to the Earth
Yet touching the sky
For one special time of year
Bringing its life force
Into our homes
Giving us reason
To transform the darkness of Winter
Into the light of Christmas
