This Christmas collage artwork print card is a print of an original A5 collage artwork I created especially for the festive season
Each of my artworks are lovingly created from a patchwork of coloured and patterned papers carefully created and printed in my home studio in Richmond North Yorkshire
Additionally I use a wide range of craft punches to add shapes to the image as well as a cornucopia of materials I have gathered together over time
My Christmas designs are inspired by the words of my original poems which have been written especially to reflect the sounds and sights as well as the feelings associated with this special time of year – with a nod to the season of Winter in which Christmas is a central feature .
The words of my poems are cleverly woven into the design making a completely unique item and with this card the poem is also printed on the back
There are many beautiful songs associated with Christmas and in this design I have carefully used some beautiful black and white music papers and the clever keys of a piano to create this design . I found some of these papers in a Christmas design book I picked up at a craft sale- I love getting to use imagery such as the singing bird in such a creative way !

Its Christmas time
Quietly the music resounds
In our hearts
Calling across the land
O Holy Night
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
Away in a Manger
Calling us to draw to ourselves
The true light
Of those who love us
Reminding us
All that matters cannot be bought
Raising our spirits
With familiarity
Bringing treasured memories
Of childhoods moments of joy
As Christmas welcomes us again
