This collage artwork print card is a print of an original A3 collage artwork I created and the main image is surrounded by a beautiful matching border on this card.
Each of my artworks are lovingly created from a patchwork of coloured and patterned papers carefully created and printed in my home studio in Richmond North Yorkshire
Additionally I use a wide range of craft punches to add shapes to the image as well as a cornucopia of materials I have gathered together over time
My designs are inspired by the words of my original poems which are often based on themes of nature, the seasons and the beautiful colours and sight associated with them The words of my poems are cleverly woven into the design making a completely unique item and with this card the poem is also printed on the back
Autumn is my favourite time of year – I love watching the colourful leaves swirling in the wind! I created this collage by combining 2 images together – the outline of the tree and an image from a land art calendar. Within the central swirl I added individual leaves in Autumn colours – each one cut by a craft punch and added one by one
The poem reflects this idea of leaves dancing in the wind:
The snow of leaves
Falling to dance
With the old lady grass
The windy trees
The only orchestra
Suitable for any occasion as the card has a blank space inside to add your own greetings or message - perhaps a Happy Birthday , a thankyou ,good wishes or maybe an alternative Christmas card - a lovely way to send a message with such a beautiful hand made card !
