This is a print of an original piece of collage artwork – each of my artworks are lovingly created from a patchwork of coloured and patterned papers carefully created in my home studio in Richmond North Yorkshire
Additionally I use a wide range of craft punches to add shapes to the image as well as a cornucopia of materials I have gathered together over time
My designs are inspired by the words of my original poems which are often based on themes of nature, the seasons and the beautiful colours and sight associated with them The words of my poems are cleverly woven into the design making a completely unique item
This collage was inspired by the words of my poem about snow and reflects the bright blue and white colours of a snowy scene . The collage also features beautiful leaf shapes filled with images of snowy trees that my father painted . The background was created by using a variety of beautiful snowy papers and more leaves cut from these papers
The poem about snow was written on a train journey through a snowy landscape and is about how the snow makes everything merge into one view

Snow is not like a blanket
It is like itself
The clouds finding a temporary rest
Swapping their places of abode
So that as I look
Land, cloud, mountain, sheep
Are all moulded together
The clouds another layer
Of hills and mountain
The stars swapping with icy water
